Fair Trade is one of the three pillars that we have built Global A.P.E. Inc on. Fair Trade is about eradicating poverty while fostering sustainablility, empowerment, education, health care, clean water not to mention respect, dignity, and of course fairness. These are all elements that we take for granted in our daily lives yet millions of people live without. We can change that. We can ensure people have clean water, safe and adequate food, health care, etc. by doing simple things such as being aware of where our coffee came from, was our shirt sweat shop free? Take the time to know what it is you are buying. It is the power of your daily purchases that determines whether someone remains in abject poverty or whether they can begin to live with the same basics of humanity that you do.
Finding sustainable products is important to us so we have managed to source out some interesting new environmental products such as Chico Bags, Cupcoats, bamboo straws, and 100% recycled baking products. We also have a range of Fair Trade Organic products including chocolate, spices, rice, and shade grown coffee (essential for Canadian migrating song birds!).
It's simple, we just don't believe in testing on animals. And frankly Charlie and Beau would be horrified if we supported products that put their animal pals through torturous trials. Therefore any of the Hemp and Bath & Beauty products you'll find in our store have not been tested on animals nor do we have any items made from animal byproducts.
