Make Poverty History
Make Poverty History is the Canadian organization promoting the world wide campaign to fight poverty. The White Band is the universal symbol that represents support to end poverty. You may have heard of the ONE campaign that Bono is behind in the UK or the campaign by the same name in the USA. Countries around the world are working together to grow awareness and action about poverty at home and abroad
Wearing the White Band is about sending a message that you want to end poverty. And that you are part of a unique worldwide effort to do just that. Make Poverty History has some suggestions on how to wear your white band and show your support:
You can wear it as a wrist band or on your arm, put it on your keyring, put it around your rear view mirror, around your pet's collar, as a hair band....be as creative as you wish...just do it!
